Market Leadership
eiVia’s roots extend deep into the Business Intelligence (BI) market. The company’s founders have been at the forefront of BI innovation for over 30 years. We are returning to the base of these roots by refocusing on meeting the Decision Support needs of users.
Our Company Vision arose from a simple observation: “Despite the success of BI products, users continue to rely on desktop spreadsheets for much of the analysis that supports their time-sensitive decision-making”. The desktop spreadsheet is the self-service analytic tool of choice for users. But, it proliferates desktop databases with little or no data governance.
Analytic applications are rapidly migrating into the “cloud”. They are being licensed as Solutions as a Service (SaaS). To provide Decision Support online, with the flexibility and ease-of-use characteristics of desktop spreadsheets, eiVia developed the next generation of the spreadsheet. One user described eiVia: “It’s the world’s largest pivot table but with database write-back capabilities”.
eiVia’s technology is used to build applications that enforce data governance; improve data collection, consolidation and collaboration; while, maintaining the simplicity and flexibility features of the familiar row and column interface.
eiVia is privately held and is headquartered in Minneapolis, MN.
